An activist, autoethnographer, performer, and storyteller with over 20 years of experience in designing, implementing and monitoring strategic, integrated, multidisciplinary, and participatory reform interventions in support of child and youth protection with a special focus on gender-based violence, preventing separation, and the alternative care sector.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I am currently managing the Centre for the Study of Learning and Performance CSLP at Concordia University, Montreal,QC. I am also working online as a Senior Program Officer at the Center for Child and Human Development/Georgetown University, Washington, DC.

Knowledge Mobilization
During my long years of field work and academic teaching/learning, I have contributed to many publications advocating for child protection with a special focus on Gender Based Violence and the rights of children without parental care. I also collaborated on writing a book chapter on Indigenous youth leaving care.
In 2021, I produced a Child Protection Policy in Media for Kafa (enough) Violence & Exploitation and UNICEF in Lebanon.
Communicating my learnings from the field and academia had led me to participating in many forums to share, exchange, and advocate for social justice. You will find here a full list of my publications.
ARTS BASED PRACTICE
My arts based practice is derived from my commitment to decolonize my approaches while amplifying the voices of the historically silenced groups.
Grounded in Indigenous Methodologies, performing my autoethnography is a pathway for positionality and a journey towards unsettling the colonial in me.
